The day of recording is Tuesday, September 25th 2012, and all video must be captured on that day. Videos can be captured on any camera in any resolution, in the case of the very young their parents or guardians can submit videos on their behalf. The name of the project is Our Life in One Day.
These snapshots of life - from any kind of camera - will be compiled into a documentary that will be screened on a late autumn date on RTÉ Two, as well as a film which will be screened by RTE during the Christmas period. The film will illustrate the experiences, thoughts and feelings of young people across Ireland.
The videos can be about any subject from eating breakfast, to walking to school, to an issue that a person may wish to comment on. It is an open canvas and young people are invited to submit a video that depicts how they see themselves and their life, what they felt and thought on that day. Their dreams, routines and the unique moments of their daily lives captured on video by themselves, their parents, siblings or friends.
The only recommendations are that the content be 2 minutes long, visually clear and the sound can be heard. Video pieces can be submitted in any language.
