The Courthouse Celebrates
It's Birthday!
O' Sullivan's Courthouse Bar on the Mall in Dingle celebrates it's first birthday this Friday 30th March. Proprieters, Tommy and Saundra saw 385 gigs take place on the premises in the twelve months since they opened the doors, including charitable events which raised over €3,000, and this year they already have 471 gigs booked.
A new saloon, "The Court House Cooler" has just been built in the beer garden in time for the birthday bash which kicks off at 9pm on Friday and the bar also has an exemption for the night. Music will be provided by Sliabh Notes and friends.
"We want to thank everyone who has helped make our first year such a success. We especially appreciate the support and help of all our very talented musicians in the area. Especially our resident musicians; Con Durham, Damien Mullane, Donogh Hennessy, Jeremy Spencer, Sean Leahy, Eoin Duignan, Pauline Scanlon, Matt Griffin, Aoife Granville, Liam Stapleton, The Begley Clan: Seamus, Brendan, Meabh, Cormac, Bre'anainn, Bernie Pha'id and Dierdre Granville. Without these guys our vision would never have worked."
And lastly, as Tommy says almost every night, "we can't forget the most important people in the pub" our wonderfully, dedicated bar staff; Liam Stapleton, Miche'al O' Flaherty, and Dara Herlihy."
