On Tuesday next the 1st of May a meeting will be held in the West Kerry Community Hospital, Dingle at 10am to form a Heart Attack Support group on the Peninsula. The new group aims to help people who have suffered from both Heart attacks and Heart disease, to share information, their experiences and to offer support to anyone who needs it to overcome their illness.
This is the first time that a support group has been set up on the Dingle Peninsula and they would like to invite everyone to come along to the meeting. Regular meetings will take place thereafter. The Group has been formed by Bianca Popovich who recently had a heart attack and found the long Journey in and out of Tralee to attend meetings with the Tralee support group was proving difficult. Bianca contacted other Heart Attack sufferers around the area that she knew and they all agreed that a local support group would be very helpful.
Different specialists will be invited to present at the meetings and on Tuesday next a cardiac Nurse from Tralee General Hospital will present a talk.
For Information Call 087 3583923
If you are interested in joining the group but cannot attend on the day please feel free to contact them to look at alternative dates for following meetings.
