Playwriting Workshops At Beehive Theatre

Following last winter’s productive series of playwriting workshops, Mike Venner will be running another series at Beehive starting early in October.
The best way to write a play is to treat it as an active, dynamic process: the focus of the workshops is upon creating new pieces that will work onstage, not just on the page. We will read and discuss the plays as they develop, and then try them out with actors, or some of us even acting ourselves.
The last series of workshops culminated in a very successful showcase of new plays at Beehive. Let’s hope we can do the same again!
There will be 8 two-hour weekly workshops, at €10 per session. There will also be opportunities for individual one-to-one sessions.
